This school year the volleyball team and both the boys and girl's basketball teams won the sportsmanship award in the Northwest League. Today we received plaques honoring their achievement. We are very thankful to our coaches and players for their Christlike attitude and for being great representatives of Faith both on and off the court!

Garrett Bender places 6th at state in the 400M

Garrett Bender is only a sophmore and he already holds the school record in the 400M by posting a time of 52.95  Garrett has been at the forefront of all the pre-season workouts and does whatever it takes to become the best he can be.  Garrett finished in 6th place this year at state and I know he will not be satisfied with that and he will work even harder to come back next year and beat his already very impressive record.

Mitch VanVuren places 7th at state in the 400M

Mitch is a senior this year at Faith and he is one of the team captains.  Mitch has been on the track team for the past four years and this is his second trip to state for the 400M.  Mitch is one of those people who demands excellence from himself in everything he does and when it comes to track and especially in the 400M it shows that only his very best is acceptable.  It is so much fun to watch him run and to see the strides he takes.  This year at state Mitch ran a 53.36 and placed 7th.  Mitch has had a great high school career on the track team and will be missed!!!!

Chris Cotuna places 3rd at state in the 100M

Chris Cotuna is a JR this year and this is his 1st year doing track and field.  Chris is one of those athletes who is good at everything he does and everyone wants him to come out for their sport.  We are really glad he came out for track this year as I don't think anyone could have predicted just how good Chris Cotuna actually is.  He is constantly looking for anything he can do to improve and become a better runner.  Chris placed higher then any other athlete from Faith at the state competition this year as he placed third in the state with a time of  11.40  Great season Chris and congratulations on your big third place medal!!!!!

Molly Roloff places 6th at state in the 3000M

This is Molly's senior year at Faith and her 1st year doing track and field.  She has been a volleyball star over the last few years and decided to try out track this year.  Turns out Molly had a hidden talent all throughout her high school career.  Molly set a new PR at districts by nearly 20 seconds...huge PR or so we thought.  During her 3000M run at state she had a PR of over 23 seconds as she set a new school record finishing the race at 12:03.87 and finishing in 6th place.  What a great way to end the season and your high school athletic career Molly....congratulations on the great year!!!!!!!
