Nate Elder was named 1st team in the 2012 all-state selection.  This means Nate was voted as one of the top 4 outfielders of all players in the state of Oregon in 2A. What an incredible honor for Nate and Faith High School.  Nate has had an amazing senior year at Faith and this honor is much deserved.  Congratulations Nate!!!!!!!

It is an honor to even be on the ballot for athlete of the year with so many incredible athletes in the school.  But this year there where two clear cut winners when all the votes came in.  Remember this award was voted on by only those who participated in sports this year at Faith. This is the first time this award has been handed out and as a winner these athletes will get their name engraved on a plaque that will be kept at the school for all to see. So for the winners....

The male athlete of the year receiving 43% of the vote is Kellen Luey!

The Female athlete of the year receiving 59% of the vote is Molly Roloff!

With the end of the school year drawing close we have awarded an "athlete of the month" for every month now.  What a year it has been with so many incredible athletes.  With all the sports played and all the individuals who had great seasons it was pretty amazing to see that randomly with no rules about athletes not being able to win the award multiple times that the only person to get athlete of the month twice this year was Molly Roloff.  That says a lot about the wide array of talent at Faith especially in such a successful year.  Below is the ballot we used last week to have every athlete in the school vote for who they thought deserved to be Faith's "athlete of the year."  It is neat to look through and see everyone's accomplishments throughout the year.
