LADY FALCONS 2-0 in NWL
The Faith Falcon girls took the court in Delphian this past Tuesday and proved that they were the better team winning the game 34-13 and improving to 2-0 in conference play. With Chandelle Stanton the Falcons leading scorer missing yet another game due to injury her teammates stepped up big in her absence. Marra Irving scored a career high 14 points in the game. Faith Falcon added eight points while her sister Sierra pulled down 9 rebounds. Dishing the rock out like a hotcake was Claire Shumock who had six assists on the night. It was truly a team effort and at the heart of that effort was the stingy "D" only allowing 2 points in the first half. That is impressive!!! Great job girls!

FALCONS UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE PLAY
Friday night was the 1st league contest of the year for the Falcons. They traveled to Nestucca to face the Bobcats. The JV boys started things off the right way with a victory.
The varsity girls followed with a 25-20 victory over the Bobcats to improve to 2-2 on the season. The girls entered their game without their leading scorer Chandelle Stanton who had an injury. Faith Falcon stepped up big making 10 points. Gracie Irving was the 2nd leading scorer with 7 points and she added 8 rebounds. The Falcon girls played stifling defense only allowing 4 points the whole 2nd half.
The varsity boys put the finishing touches on a sweep by defeating Nestucca 51-42. Both the girls and guys are 1-0 to start of play in the NWL.

Faith Basketball Underway!
Its official the Faith basketball season is underway. So far Faith has played City Christian & Gervias. Our teams have wasted little time providing exciting games with lots of drama. Unfortunately we haven't come out of the winning side of things. The girls sent their game vs City Christian into overtime by a last second bucket by Sierra Falcon who also added 10 rebounds and 7 steals. In overtime Claire Schumock kept it close by hitting one of her four 3-pointers on the night but the Falcons just couldn't hang on in this one. In the very next game our boys fought hard and took their game into double overtime before they ended up on the losing end of things.
The Falcons play at Catlin Gable on Wednesday before traveling to Nestucca on Friday to begin league play.
VOLLEYBALL WINS NWL SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
For the 2nd straight year our girls volleyball team coached by Sarah Middleton has won the NWL sportsmanship award. Just starting this year the NWL has bought banners for the school who wins this award to hang up in their gym for a year before the banner is given to the next team to win the award. Its not a good picture, but the banner is below.
We are very proud of our team, fans and coaches for helping Faith to be a great representative of Christ and excellent sportsmanship!
