Ari Daskalakis chooses Warner Pacific
Ari Daskalakis who graduates from Faith this spring has chosen to attend Warner Pacific College where she will be running both XC & Track. Ari holds the Faith XC 5k record at 21:48 and she holds the track record for the 800m (2:29) & the 1500m (5:32).

Chelsea Carson in the NAIA Track Championships
Chelsea Carson a 2011 Faith Bible grad just competed in the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Wesleyan, Indiana. Competing for Arizona Christian University Chelsea ran a marathon and got a PR of 3:25. That is a 7:50 pace over 26 miles. Way to go Chelsea we are all proud of you.

STATE TRACK MEET RESULTS
Faith's boys track team came in 11th place at the state track meet out of 32 teams. The girls finished 19 out of 26.
There were some big individual performances at the meet starting off with Jackson VanVuren who won 1st place in state in the javelin with a throw of 165'10. Jackson is the 1st athlete from Faith to ever take 1st place at state. Congratulations Jackson!!!!!
Chris Cotuna made All-State for the second year in a row placing third in the 100m with a time of 11.59 Great job Chris!!!!!!
Ari Daskalakis took 5th place in the 800m with a time of 2:30
Chris Cotuna placed 5th in the 200m with a time of 23.49
Brittany Falcon placed 7th in the Javelin with a throw of 97'6
Chris Cotuna in his third event got 8th in the long jump 19'2

The athletes who got 2nd team or higher qualified to go to Hayward Field in Eugene this Thursday and Friday to participate in the State Track & Field Championships.

Former Portland Trailblazer Michael Harper visited Faith Bible to talk at chapel this past week. Below is a picture taken with him.
BOYS TRACK TEAM EARNS ACADEMIC RECOGNITION
For each OSAA sport the top 10 academic teams are honored as the top student athletes in the state. This years boys track and field team finished 5th in the state with a 3.48 combined GPA. Congratulations on all your hard work on and off the track!!!!!
