TRACK PLACES 4TH AT DISTRICTS....SIX ATHLETES ADVANCE TO STATE!!!!!!

It was hot and sunny this weekend at Portland Christian as the track team participated in districts. It was the athletes who shined the brightest though. Faith Bible finished 4th in the Northwest District and we had six athletes qualify for state!!!! Before I get to the athletes who made it to state below are some honorable mentions:

Chris Cotuna 200m 23.98 3rd
Wilson Crawford 1500m 4:38 4th
Wilson Crawford 3000m 10:03 4th
Jordan Wagner Disc 118'7" 3rd
Daniel Claypool Javelin 134' 5th - New School Record
Mitch VanVuren High Jump 5'10" 3rd - New School Record
Lauren Starts 400m 1:11 3rd
Hannah Johnson 3000m 12:32 3rd
Lauren Kam Disc 79' 4th - New School Record
Kellen Luey, Chris Cotuna, Mitch VanVuren, Garrett Bender 4x400 3:41 3rd

Ok, so for the kids going to state....

Chris Cotuna ran the 100m in 11.67 and finished 2nd...Chris is ranked 6th in state
Mitch VanVuren ran the 400m and finished in 1st place for the second year in a row with a time of 54.04


Garrett Bender took 2nd place in the 400m with a time of 54.46 and ranks 4th in state currently.



Jordan Wagner took 2nd in the shot for the second year in a row with a throw of 44'8"...Jordan currently ranks 4th in state.



Molly Rolloff is going to state in the 3000 where she ran a time of 12:27 and she currently ranks 7th in the state.


Kelsey Wright took 1st place in the javelin with a throw of 108'9" and she currently ranks 6th in state.
