The brackets are hot off the press and the Faith Falcons will be matched up with the Central Linn Cobras. These two teams will square off Saturday, Nov. 1st at a time TBD and the game will be held at Central Linn. Central Linn plays in the Tri-River conference in which they finished in 3rd place and have a #7 state ranking with an overall record of 13-8(9-5). Faith plays in the Northwest League in which they finished in 3rd place despite having the best record in the league and they currently have a #11 state ranking and have an overall record of 16-5(10-1). This should be a great matchup and the winner of this game advances to the elite 8 held in Redmond, OR the following weekend.

VOLLEYBALL ALL-LEAGUE HONORS
Not only did the Falcon volleyball girls advance to the state playoffs this Saturday they also took home some serious hardware.
VOLLEYBALL ADVANCES TO STATE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!
The Faith volleyball team traveled to Vernonia today to play the Nestucca Bobcats in the 3rd round of the NWL playoffs and for a chance to go to state. The Falcons came up big winning the first three sets advancing them to the 1st round of the State Playoffs!
The 1st round of the state playoffs will be held on Nov. 1st at a site and time TBD pending rankings after this weekend.
VOLLEYBALL ADVANCES TO 3RD ROUND OF NWL PLAYOFFS
The Falcons watched the 1st round of the NWL playoffs as Delphian & City Christian battled it out for a chance to take on Faith in the 2nd round. Delphian came out on top beating City 3-1.
Faith then took on Delphian and didn't waste any time taking all three sets to advance to the 3rd round of the NWL playoffs. They will now play at Vernonia at 1pm against Nestucca and the winner of that game will advance to the State Playoffs!
XC DISTRICTS - GIRLS
For the girls Megan Dutro ran a 24:54 for a new PR and that time places her as the #2 all-time female at Faith putting her only behind Ari Daskalakis.
XC DISTRICTS - MENS
Thursday the Faith XC team participated in Districts held in Salem at Bush Park.
Tristan Bolton set a new school record in the 5k, running a 17:58 beating the previous record that was set in 2011 by Wilson Crawford who ran a 18:28. Tristan was also named 2nd team all-district finishing 10th overall out of 93 runners.
SOCCER BEATS PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 3-2
The soccer team continues their success as they beat Portland Christian on Thursday 3-2. The Falcons now improve to 8-1-3 (3-0-3) on the 2014 season.
THURSDAY OCT 23rd
Big day in Faith athletics this Thursday Oct. 23rd. It starts at 2:45 when the Faith XC team competes in districts at Bush Park in Salem. At 4 the soccer team takes on Portland Christian at the 53rd Ave fields. Then the volleyball team finishes off the night by hosting the 2nd round of the NWL playoffs at Forest Hills at 8pm. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!
SOCCER BEATS WESTSIDE CHRISTIAN
The Falcons soccer team took on Westside Christian Tuesday and came away victorious winning 1-0 to stay undefeated in district play at 2-0-3 and to up their overall record to 7-1-3 with a #8 state ranking.
NEW 3K XC SCHOOL RECORD SET
Tristan Bolton broke the Faith school record in the 3k meter by running a 10:15. Tristan broke Garrett Bender's record of 10:24, which he just set last year. Also of note, Corbin Helms set the third fastest time in school history with 11:28.
Faith will compete at districts held at Bush park on Thursday at the final meet of the year.
