CORBAN MEN’S SOCCER TABBED AS ‘ADIDAS TEAM OF THE WEEK’

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) announced on Sunday, October 12, that the Corban University men's soccer team was selected as the CCC Adidas Team of the Week.
The Warriors currently hold first place in the CCC standings with 19 points following last week's 2-0 record. Corban has now extended its winning streak to six matches, and in doing so, has outscored their opponents 20-1 during that span.
Friday afternoon, the Warriors defeated The College of Idaho 2-0, thanks to a two-goal brace from senior forward,Arsinio Walker (Kingston, Jamaica). Less than 24 hours later, on Saturday afternoon, the team came away with an emphatic 7-1 victory over the Oregon Institute of Technology with all 7 goals being scored by different players.  The Navy and Gold now leads the conference with 13 different players leaving their mark as goal-scorers on the season.

"Much of the credit for our recent success should go to the leadership of our experienced players," stated head coachAaron Lewis.  "They have helped solidify a culture that is focused on the team and hard work.  Their maturity helped us get our season on track and we plan to ride this momentum as long as we can."
Corban (8-3-1, 6-1-1 CCC) returns to action on Wednesday, October 15, when it takes on the Eagles of Northwest University (10-2-0, 6-2-0 CCC) in Kirkland, Wash., at 3 p.m.
