SOCCER DROPS HOME OPENER


Faith welcomed De La Salle North Catholic to the Washington County Fairgrounds on Tuesday for the opening game of the season for both teams. The Falcons had a strong first half, creating a few chances. The first half ended 0-0. The game opened up in the second half with De La Salle winning and scoring a penalty kick in the 55'. Faith answered back by being awarded a penalty of their own in the 58'. Mason Demaris slotted home his 1st goal of the season by burying the kick in the bottom corner. The Knights continued to wear down the Falcons putting in 3 more goals in the last 12 mins. Sebastien Wahab had an excellent effort clang off the crossbar in the 71'. The Knights outshot the Falcons 30-13. The Falcons head to Portland Christian on Friday night.
