VOLLEYBALL SHIPWRECK PIRATES


This week the Lady Falcons expanded their record to 6-1 in the league sitting only 1 game out of first place (the same as we were last year at this time with a much older team) knocking off Neah-Kah-Nie and Nestucca in sweeps of 3 games each.
On the road Tuesday they traveled to Neah-kah-nie beating them in their home gym 3-0.  The Falcons served the match with their highest serving percentage as a team at 92%.  Freshman Gillian O’Reilly was the stand-out server with 100% serving for the lady Falcons. She was followed by Gillenwater, Sanchez and Poetter with 90% or higher.  Taylor Campbell and Jahzel Sanchez led the fight with 3 aces each with teammates Abi Gillenwater and Alleggra Poetter adding 2 aces a piece. The Falcons were led by the middle blocker team of Alleggra Poetter and Keeley Price who both hammered 7 kills each. Libero Sanchez, along with Price, and Poetter all passed a 2.0 or higher for the winning Falcons  Gillenwater had 13 setting assists for the Falcons. Sanchez had a match high 12 digs for the Falcons adding to their defensive charge.
