The Faith Bible girls team fought hard in the Silver Cross East Linn Tournament winning two very close games. Beating East Linn 34-32 and Bonanza 35-32. This is the first regular season championship the girls basketball program has ever won. With the victory the Falcons improved to 3-0 on the season. Read below for a summary of the championship game.
- Sarah Fajer scored 15 points, helping Faith Bible Christian notch a 35-32 victory over Bonanza on Saturday. Faith FALCONS secured their lead in the third quarter on a two-pointer from Fajer.
- Faith connected from the field early, claiming a 17-16 lead at the half.
- Fajer found success all over the court for Faith , making 50% (5-for-10) of shots attempted while also sinking 71% (5-for-7) of free throws attempted.
- Katie Fajer went into double digits, scoring 12 points for Faith Bible Christian (6-for-16). Also contributing for Faith Bible Christian were Jessica Irving (4 points) and Megan Dutro (2 points). Fajer was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up five rebounds.
- Faith Bible Christian finished the game with 31 rebounds (15 offensive / 16 defensive).
