The Falcons traveled to NE Portland on Tuesday afternoon to open up Special District 1 league play. The Falcons came out extremely strong, playing their most solid half of the season so far. The Falcons saw some good opportunities to score early in the first half, with solid attacking play from junior , Shalkar Wilkins taking on defenders and applying pressure on the Knights goal. Freshman, Gio Correria had a great chance with a half volley from the top of the box that dipped over the crossbar. The Falcons and Knights went into halftime tied at 0-0. In the second half, it was all Knights after a tactical switch that put their most dynamic player at striker. The Falcons gave up 4 in the half, including a goal on the last kick of the game. The Falcons will try to grab their first win of the season on Friday against City Christian.

The Eagles and the Falcons did battle on Tuesday night in Damascas, OR. The Falcons came into the game on a 2 match unbeaten streak. On a small, slick, and wet field, the Falcons were unable to penetrate the Eagles defense, and if they did, the opposing keeper was there to clean it up. The Falcons out-shot the Eagles 20-8 and dominated in possession of the ball. The only chances that the Eagles created were off the counter attack. Senior, Mason Demaris had a couple good looks at net late in the game, including a chip attempt from 45 yards out that just missed over the bar. Sophomore, Sean Morae-Alvarado had 7 saves and earned his first clean sheet of the season for the Falcons. The Falcons will head to Columbia Christian on next Tuesday afternoon to begin league play and hope to continue the unbeaten streak, which now sits at 3 games.

The Falcons hosted the Wildcats on a sunny, hot Tuesday afternoon at 53rd Ave Fields. Southwest got the opening goal in the 11th minute. Caleb Predmore had a goal saving tackle, but was awarded his first yellow card of the season in the 21st minute. At the break, The Wildcats held a 1-0 advantage. On the ensuing kick off, Southwest was able to dribble through the heart of the Falcons defense and knock in their second goal to double their advantage at 2-0. After that goal, the game was dominated by the Falcons. Lone senior, Mason Demaris set up both of newcomer junior Shalkar Wilkins goals. The first came in the 60th minute on a brilliant ball over the top of the back line and a wonderful first time finish from Wilkins. On the last few kicks of the game, the Falcons were able to turn a goal kick into a long ball played by Demaris and finished by Wilkins to tie up the game at the death for Faith. The Falcons will look to continue their unbeaten streak next Tuesday when they visit Damascus Christian.

The Falcons visited the Eagles on an overcast Friday night. The first half was a physical and fast paced track meet with both teams getting opportunities. Caleb Predmore had some good looks at goal from distance, but none could hit the mark. After the break, the Falcons took the lead on freshmen Giovanni Correria's tap in on an assist from senior Mason Demaris. Joseph Suh doubled the lead in the 56th minute. Crosshill was awarded a penalty kick in the 64th minute and buried it to cut the lead in half. The Eagles were able to finish the job and tie up the Falcons in the 73rd minute on a tap in goal off a rebound. 

Faith opened their season with a 4-0 loss at Blanchett Catholic on Friday afternoon. The Falcons played their first game of the season with only 11 players and battled with the Cavs for much of the game. Blanchett broke down the Falcons defense in the 9th minute to score the opening goal of the game. The Falcons put in a solid defensive effort for the next 30 minutes, but fell asleep right before the stroke of halftime, allowing the Cavs to score off of a Falcon goal kick with 38 seconds remaining in the half. The Cavs scored their 3rd goal off a deflected shot that found the top corner, and the 4th came off an inexperienced mistake from the Falcons' backline. Overall, it was a decent run out for the Falcons, who return 6 starters. Only 4 of the returning starters played in the opener and most of them in new positions. The backline of Ethan Schmoll, Caleb Predmore, Drew Bernards, and Kyle Hoekstra did well to hold off the countless attacks from the Cavs.

De La Salle North Catholic made its second trip of the season out to Hillsboro to take on the Falcons. The weather conditions were slightly different, as was the result. The first half was very back and forth. The Falcons had some great opportunities on some set pieces, but nothing found the frame of the goal. The Knights first real chance to score was in the 39', but the shot from 10 yards out was hit wide. After the break, the Falcons weathered the storm on and off the field to hold De La Salle scoreless. Braden O'Reilly made 10 saves in net and recorded his 2nd clean sheet of the season. The entire Falcons' back line had a great day, but none better than senior Tanner Flemming, who was an absolute brick wall in back for Faith. The Falcons' defense has only allowed 1 goal in the past 240 minutes of play. Faith recorded its first league point in 2 years and now has a 3 game unbeaten streak. The Falcons will carry that streak into Thursday's make up game at Life Christian at 4:15 PM.

The Falcons welcomed the Knights to Ron Tonkin Field on Tuesday afternoon. Right out of the gate, it was a physical match. The teams played evenly until the 17th minute, when a shot from Portland Christian trickled past senior goalkeeper Braden O'Reilly. The game remained 1-0 at the half. After a poor clearance, the Knights doubled their lead in the 44th minute. The Falcons continued to push and got a few good opportunities from shots by sophomore Caleb Predmore. The Falcons tallied 9 shots in the game with most coming in the second half. PC added it's final goal in a wonderfully taken strike in the 78th minute to close out the 3-0 scoreline. Faith takes on City Christian next Tuesday at Ron Tonkin Field at 4pm.

The Falcons met Damascus Christian on Friday night. Faith dominated possession out of the gate, linking up play nicely, but lacking the final ball. In the 15th minute, freshmen right back Sean Morae-Alvarado chipped in his first tally of the season off a corner played in by senior, David Richtenburg. The half ended with the Falcons leading 1-0. Damascus tied the game up in the 62nd minute. The Falcons saw out the draw and look forward to welcoming Portland Christian/Columbia Christian on Tuesday afternoon. Faith Bible sits at 0-2-1 heading into league play.

Faith fell to PC/CC in sloppy, rainy game on Friday night. After a quick Knight goal, Emily Dutro equalized by hitting a lofted shot from 35 yards over the keeper. The half ended 5-1, in favor of the Knights. Zach Braem netted the Falcons second goal from close range. O'Reilly faced a plethora of shots during the game and was able to make 12 saves. The Falcons look to rebound Friday again Damascus Christian.

Faith welcomed De La Salle North Catholic to the Washington County Fairgrounds on Tuesday for the opening game of the season for both teams. The Falcons had a strong first half, creating a few chances. The first half ended 0-0. The game opened up in the second half with De La Salle winning and scoring a penalty kick in the 55'. Faith answered back by being awarded a penalty of their own in the 58'. Mason Demaris slotted home his 1st goal of the season by burying the kick in the bottom corner. The Knights continued to wear down the Falcons putting in 3 more goals in the last 12 mins. Sebastien Wahab had an excellent effort clang off the crossbar in the 71'. The Knights outshot the Falcons 30-13. The Falcons head to Portland Christian on Friday night.

Faith had a very tough time dealing with Riverdale's pressure in the middle of he field and found it hard to possess the ball. Jacob and Eamon put together a nice passage of play in the first half, but the shot was off target. Braden had another great game in net for the Falcons with 10 saves and a handful of more good plays by coming off his line to stop Riverdale attacks. Nick and Tanner did a wonderful job of shutting down their best player, number 3, who had a hat trick in the previous game against Riverdale.
